AIDS Fund depends heavily on the support of volunteers who are integral in the success of our fundraising events. Every year thousands of volunteers participate in AIDS Walk, GayBINGO, World AIDS Day, community events, public awareness campaigns and general office support.
AIDS Fund has many opportunities throughout the year for you or your group to get involved! Some of our volunteer positions include:
AIDS Walk Philly
Held on the third Sunday of every October, AIDS Walk Philly depends on hundreds of volunteers on the day of the event as well as the weeks and months preceding it. Even if you are participating in the Walk, there are still lots of ways to get involved, besides just walking or running. Over 800 wonderful, hard-working, dedicated supporters help by volunteering before, after, or in place of walking.
A sample of some jobs include: community outreach, set up and breakdown, concessions, route monitors, bus drivers, clean up crew, donation tent workers, cheerleaders, photographers, volunteer check-in, and much more!
GayBINGO is held monthly and is almost an entirely volunteer-run event! This is a fun and fabulous night out on the town for anyone interested in making a difference in the fight against HIV/AIDS.
Volunteers needed at GayBINGO: ticket sales, program assembly, event set-up and break-down, decorations, ushers, raffle and ticket sales, concession sales, and more!
General Office Volunteers
Office help is needed at AIDS Fund periodically throughout the year to help prepare for special events and to do general administrative work such as data entry, mailing, and copying.
